A QUIET ROAD SHORT FILM (2025)

I was the cinematographer on this western-inspired short about two brothers on opposite sides of the law - one a US Marshal, the other on the run. We wanted it to feel authentically western, even though we shot it on Dartmoor National Park. I think we got away with it.

Both actors were actually American, which helped sell the world. I shot mainly on a 21mm for the wides and an 85mm for the close-ups - using that contrast to show the distance between them in certain moments, while still keeping it intimate when we needed it to be. It was a really fun to shoot, the weather couldn’t have been better too.
